Provide gentle learning opportunities for young children to develop their fine motor skills while discovering how to write numbers 1 to 10.

What you'll like about these Tracing Cards:

  • Large sized Numbers that are suitable for young children developing fine motor skills

  • Colourful with easy-to-follow tracing instructions - Reusable with whiteboard markers, wipe off format

  • Lightweight, perfect size to use even when out of home / travelling / on-the-go

Usage Suggestions:

1. Provide these cards as an extended part of our Curious Little Creatures Maths Adventures storybook - The Perfect Birthday: Numbers 1 to 10

  • a post storytelling activity that parent and child can work on together, according to child's preferred pace and interest

  • child can choose which number they would like to explore and trace, parent can join in the fun to encourage learning together

2. Create invitation to 'play and write' using these tracing cards at home

  • present individual number cards with markers on a tray, with other formats of number representations they can explore (e.g. magnetic number, foam number, wooden number)

  • observe while child explores and engage when child is ready with questions to spark further observations/conversations (e.g. do you notice a curve in number 2? what does number 8 reminds you of?)

3. Find other interesting ways to trace the numbers

  • use toy cars and pretend they are motor routes

  • use fingers for younger children

  • paint with washable paint
