The Curious Little Critters Maths Adventures is a series of 12 books for children aged 3-8, each one pairing a foundational maths concept with a social-emotional theme, delivered through a story worth reading again and again.
Each title comes in two formats - a storybook and a companion Play & Learn activity book. They work together as a system: the story builds understanding, the activities make it stick. But each also works as a standalone if you'd like to start with one before committing to the series.
Inside every storybook
-
Designed to grow with your child
The series follows a deliberate progression - each book building on the concept that came before it, from sorting and classifying at age 3 through to multiplication and money by age 8. Start from Book 1 and follow the series in order. The concepts build on each other, and so does your child's confidence.
-
Conversation prompts built in
Every storybook includes read-aloud question prompts designed to extend the learning and open up real conversations - about the maths your child just encountered, and about the values theme woven into the story. No preparation needed. The questions are already there, waiting for the right moment as you read together.
-
Every re-read goes deeper
The first time your child hears the story, they follow the adventure. By the third read, they are anticipating the maths moments. By the fourth, they are correcting you if you get a detail wrong. Each re-read reinforces the concept without your child realising it, because the story is good enough to ask for again, and the learning compounds every time.
Inside every activity book
-
30 activities, multiple ways to play!
Board games, origami, crafts, colouring, mazes, sticker activities, movement games, pretend play and more! Every activity book covers the same maths concept through a variety of different formats, so your child stays curious and engaged from the first page to the last.
-
The same concept, from every angle
Each activity reinforces the same maths concept from a different direction. By the time your child has worked through the book, the concept has arrived through their hands, their movement, and their imagination. That is what makes it stick.
-
Made for real family life
No prep needed, just open and start. Screen-free and designed for the floor, the kitchen table, or a long journey. Many of the activities are built for two - games and crafts you do together, not ones your child does alone while you watch. Learning and family time, in the same moment.
"These stories introduce numeracy concepts while imparting life lessons. The conversation prompts make this perfect for families wanting meaningful learning at home."
